I'll give you a minute to get over your shock.
(1 one thousand, 2 one thousand -- DEEP BREATH -- 3 one thousand) feeling better?
Need me to grab you a paper bag??
I know what you're thinking.
Elsie, WTF!?
Trust me, I was thinking something incredibly similar.
I'll save you the gory, boring details and jump right to the bullet point meat and potatoes of the story.
1) I got a new phone in June and the guy at the store didn't add my 5 fave numbers that I am allowed to call and text for free.
2) 4 of those five numbers are LONG DISTANCE
3) I talk a lot.
4) Like, a lot a lot.
5) Like, over 2500 mins in a month.
6) That's roughly 42 hours a month, or an hour and a half a day
7) I told you it was a lot.
8) Telus had a system upgrade, conveniently timed to begin the MOMENT I opened my $2000.00 bill
9) Their system upgrade went awry and they were unreachable for 3 days.
10) I spent over 3 hours on hold today.
11) I heard more than 19 times that I should try back tomorrow
12) I tried back several hours later 18 times.
13) I finally got a hold of them
14) I no longer have a $2000+ cell phone bill.
15) Telus and I are (almost) friends again.
The end.

PS - Moral of the story : Don't just pay your bill as it comes in. Check it out, scrutinize it. You'll thank me.
